Rainy days and Mondays...

It's been a gray, rainy, cold couple of days which seems befitting of my physical state. I managed to get in on the end of a flu bug making the rounds. I have learned that as soon as there is a sign of anything coming on to go to bed and drink lots of fluids. What started Saturday night had cleared my system by this afternoon.
Shenzi has been a little rascal as she has not had her regular walks which she has become very used to. So after supper in the early dusk we went for a walk. The skies were clearing and the moon and stars gave us enough light to walk by as the sun waned. Our walks always start off a little tentative as we decide whether it is going to be a short or long walk. Tonight in the soft light of the moon and the stars we cast long shadows on lonely county roads.
I think disaster has struck the area as three ambulances and three police cars passed us on the main road and about half way through our walk the road to Millbank was blocked off. I am a stranger to this community so I will have to wait for the paper to come out to know what happened.
