I was then subscribed a collection of pills to keep my blood pressure stable. However side effects from the "best pill for the job" were so severe that I had to go onto something else.
It is now four years later and I am still struggling with the side effects from the various new pills I have been subscribed. When does quality of life override the side effects of your medication?
I am a walker, I have walked for years. I am robust and have always been so but I have not let it stop me but as I fight my high blood pressure my quality of life is being robbed from me. If the medications are not slowing down my metabolism, they make me cough so much that I am physically ill or as with this last medication it creates incredible pain in my muscles. At first I thought it was because of all my new activity while I am visiting here in Prince Edward County but I acclimatize very quickly and after six weeks there is still too much soreness.
I have forgotten several times to take my pills and I almost immediately notice the difference in the lack of muscle pain. I am tempted to stop taking them but then what happens to my blood pressure? I walk alot, usually eight kilometers a day to keep my blood pressure down but that doesn't seem to be enough. So what is worse the problem or the medication?
